Nyimpini Mabunda

Keynote Speaker

Nyimpini Mabunda is a seasoned executive and business strategist with over 25 years of experience in revenue growth, digital transformation, innovation, and business turnarounds. He has successfully led diverse multinational corporations in South Africa, the UK, and Uganda.

Currently Chairman of Schindler Lifts South Africa, he has held key positions at GE, Vodacom, and Diageo, among others. Mabunda is also a best-selling author and an executive coach. He serves on several boards, promoting diversity and empowering employees.

His educational background includes an MBA from the University of Cape Town, Harvard’s Finance for Sr. Executives, and INSEAD’s AMP.

Nomzamo Mnqeta

Speaker

Ms. Nomzamo Mnqeta holds a Master’s degree in Project Management from the University of Technology Sydney and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Program Management Professional (PgMP). She is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Johannesburg, focusing on a framework for reinventing the South African construction industry.

She serves as the Governance and Accountability Expert on the EU-funded Infrastructure Technical Assistance Facility (ITAF) project at the National Treasury of South Africa. With over 20 years of experience, Ms. Mnqeta has led numerous projects in the infrastructure sector across all levels of government. She is also a volunteer with PMI South Africa Chapter.

Sinaye Mgolombane

Sinaye Mgolombane is a seasoned Business Executive, Digital Transformation Champion, Project Management Professional, and Environmentalist with over 25 years of multi-industry experience in Transport, Financial, Construction, Defense, and Petrochemicals sectors.

Currently, he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Project Management South Africa (PMSA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the project management profession in South Africa and Africa. Additionally, he serves as a judge for the South African Project Management Office (SA PMO) Awards.

Abigail Sandala-Mwape

Abigail Sandala-Mwape is a trailblazing project manager, social impact advocate, and change-maker, recognised as a PMI Future 50 Honoree.

With over a decade of experience, she has led impactful projects across sectors, earning PMP, PRINCE2, and PMI-ACP certifications. As a TEDx Speaker Coach and Project Management Consultant, Abigail drives innovation and empowers others.

She champions inclusion for children with intellectual disabilities, striving for a thriving world for all.

Her notable projects include coordinating Universal Access Projects with ZICTA, managing Zambia’s first Nutanix Hyper-Converged Infrastructure, and designing the nation’s first in-house Digital Curriculum Content and Platform.

Essowe Abalo

Essowe Abalo is a versatile consultant, Agile Enthusiast, and Servant Leader with over 18 years of experience in business transformation, strategy, innovation, and technology. He has successfully managed multi-million-dollar programs and projects for companies like IBM, Thales, Foxconn, and FNZ Group.

Essowe holds a bachelor’s degree from John Moore University in Liverpool and an MBA from LIGS University in Hawaii, USA. His certifications include PgMP®, PMP®, Certified Agile Leadership (CAL®), Scrum Master, Scrum Product Owner, ITIL®4 Managing Professional, and PRINCE2® AGILE. Essowe’s expertise spans IT, telecommunications, sports, government, and production industries.

Michelle Beeslaar

Speaker

Michelle Beeslaar is the Co-Owner and Director at Faolan Consulting, focusing on project controls and planning for blue-chip clients in global megaprojects.

A PhD Candidate, she explores gendered and green energy transitions in South Africa as part of a British Academy-funded cohort. Michelle is a published writer and co-author of a forthcoming book on gendered financial inclusion, with numerous academic and business publications scheduled for 2024.

With 16 years in public service across multiple departments and extensive program management experience in Africa, she brings a wealth of developmental expertise. Michelle is also a George Washington Nelson Mandela Fellow nominee, trained internationally in Germany and the United States.

Dr. Mohamad Fadl Haraké

Prof. Dr. Mohamad Fadl Haraké is a management professor based in France, affiliated with the CEREGE UR 13564 Research Laboratory at the University of Poitiers. He serves as an Honorary Academic Advisor and Research Scholar for the PM Library in Texas, USA.

His research interests include Post-Conflict Public Management, Crisis and Urgent Operations Management, Humanitarian Logistics, and Project Management in Unstable Environments.

Tunde Ojo-Aromokudu

Mr. Tunde Ojo-Aromokudu has over 35 years of industry experience as an architect and 22 years as a project manager. His notable projects include the Defunct Durban International Airport, Ushaka Marine World, and Suncoast Casino & Hotels.

He is a registered architect in South Africa, a Corporate Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, and a Green Star Accredited Professional with the Green Building Council of South Africa. Additionally, he is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP).

Mr. Ojo-Aromokudu holds degrees from the University of Lagos, University of Pretoria, and the University of Kwazulu Natal. He is a director of Prosite Plan Africa and currently serves as the President of the South African Chapter of PMI and a PMI Ambassador for Construction in South Africa.

Werner Maritz

Werner Maritz is a leader in digital transformation strategy within the infrastructure development sector. With over 15 years of experience in engineering and construction technology, Werner has also spent five years working on the project owners’ team, giving him comprehensive insight into both sides of project development.

He is passionate about the value project owners and delivery teams can achieve through modern project information management strategies, standards, and platforms.

As part of the Oracle Construction and Engineering team, Werner leverages the latest project and construction management technologies to create sustainable business value for clients.

Pascal Bohulu Mabelo

Pascal Bohulu Mabelo has over 25 years of experience in Large Infrastructure Projects (LIPS), serving as a design engineer, project/programme manager, consultant, and executive. He has chaired Project Management South Africa and is currently the Director and Principal Consultant at E6 Project Consulting (E6PC).

Pascal is the author of several influential books, including “Managing Engineering Processes in Large Infrastructure Projects,” “How to Manage Project Stakeholders—Effective Strategies for Large Infrastructure Projects,” and “Operational Readiness—How to Achieve Successful System Deployment.”

His work emphasizes the use of Systems Thinking and Systems Engineering to mitigate risks and manage complexities in LIPS, addressing failures and preventing cost and schedule overruns.

Rudi De Koker

Rudi De Koker is the Deputy Vice President of Professional Development at PMI South Africa. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Technology in Project Management, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

With a background in healthcare and HIV/AIDS management, including a Post Graduate Diploma from Stellenbosch University, Rudi is currently pursuing a PhD focusing on Telemedicine. He has extensive experience in both private and NGO sectors, managing large-scale projects highlighted at international conferences.

Previously, as Managing Executive for a national HIV/AIDS programme, Rudi fostered partnerships and drove impactful initiatives in healthcare management, with interests in Project Management, Universal Health Coverage, Digital Health, and Artificial Intelligence.
